Thank You Letter for Sponsorship Donation

BacktoBlog

Though securing a sponsorship donation may seem like the most important part of the process, there is a crucial step that many people miss. To show thanks, maintain good rapport, and keep the door open for future partnerships, it is essential to write your sponsors a thank you letter. If you aren’t sure where to start or how to word your gratitude, check out OFFSITE’s mock thank you letter for sponsorship donation. In this case, we are thanking a restaurant for providing free hors d’oeuvres for a benefit for a non-profit organization.

To the team at Franky’s Pasta & Pizza,

On behalf of The Family Foundation, I would like to express my immense thanks for your charitable donation for our Family and Friends Gala last weekend. Your hors d’oeuvres contribution most certainly added to the overall joyous and hopeful vibe of the benefit and we are truly grateful.

I truly think the mini tacos and chicken parmesan sliders were the highlight of some of the guests’ nights. Watching one of the kids chase around a server to get another taco certainly made us laugh! I even had more than one person come up and ask where the food was from, as they wanted to get it on their own.

Again, we are so thankful for your donation to our Family and Friends Gala. We would love to work with you again for future events and we will definitely be in contact for events to come.

Best,

Ally and The Family Foundation Team

P.S. We will send you over the picture gallery as soon as it’s ready so you can post some pictures to your social media!

As you can see, OFFSITE recommends starting with a statement of thanks and including how the sponsor’s donation added to the event. Then, it is important to add some personal details and anecdotes, to show that this thank you message is personal and genuine. Next, you should thank the sponsor again and propose collaborating again in the future. Finally, adding a little P.S. about event pictures or any sort of follow-up will give the sponsor something to look forward to.

If you aren’t sure where to start when writing a sponsorship thank you, follow OFFSITE’s example of a thank you letter for a sponsorship donation.
